Religious Matters: Megan Boyd
This Sunday:
Celebrating the Feast of Christ the King:
Matthew 25:31-46
Jesus teaches that when the Son of Man comes in glory, and he will judge the nations.
Jesus came to teach us how to live good lives and to be happy. He gave us the keys to live in right relationships, to be people of justice and compassion, and to be loving peacemakers. There is nothing else we need – just the right key.
Jesus says the key to happiness is:
- looking after those who are hungry and thirsty.
- welcoming and accepting of people whom you don’t know very well, or are new to you.
- * forgiving others and show mercy to them.
- * looking after those who are sick and care for them.
- * working hard at showing compassion and understanding for others.
