MULTI-SPORT HOLIDAY CAMP
Dear Families,
Throughout the world, Christians next week will be observing the week leading up to Easter with special devotion. Holy Week is the final time of preparation for the greatest feast day of our Church year - EASTER.
The events of Holy Week follow the last days of Jesus' life leading up to his death. This weekend our readings, songs and actions will recall Jesus' triumphant entry into the city of Jerusalem.
The Last Supper and the arrest of Jesus are commemorated on Holy Thursday, Jesus' trial and crucifixion on Good Friday.
As Christians, we are called to celebrate these great events by joining with our faith community for each part of the journey leading up to the death of Jesus and finally to the joy of the risen Christ. If possible try to share these services with your children at this, the most important time in the Church year.
This Thursday 28 March, we'll walk through the events of Holy Week with Jesus, as a school. We will begin the journey at 2pm. ALL PARENTS ARE WARMLY INVITED TO JOIN US.

ST JOSEPH'S DAY
Last Tuesday we were so excited to join once again the students and staff of St Joseph's Coraki to celebrate St Joseph's Day. We began the day with a beautiful Mass to acknowledge the wonderful traits of St Joseph and then had lunch together at St Joseph's Coraki School.
It was a special day and one that we always treasure, being together, celebrating our Patron Saint and having fun. A big thank you to Mrs Campbell (Coraki) for organising and preparing the Mass and Mr Brendan Moloney (Principal) and all of the staff and students for their, hospitality, friendship and absolutely fantastic activities ( (Slip & slide, parachute, water pistols, disco and games and team building activities. We loved our day together!

MRS DENISON TAKES MATERNITY LEAVE
Next Thursday 28 March will be Mrs Denison's last day with us for this year, as she leaves to begin her Maternity Leave. A new St Joseph's family member will arrive during the school holidays. We are so very excited and wish her and Jed all the best for the birth of their first child.
We thank Mrs Dension for being such a gift to our school, for her leadership, knowledge, wisdom, teaching, joy, friendship and incredible support. We will miss her but I'm sure she will visit us when she can.

PALM SUNDAY GOSPEL READINGS - Mark 14:1—15:47
Jesus is sentenced to death and crucified. The centurion who witnessed his death declared, “This man was the Son of God.”
This week we celebrate Holy Week, the most important week in the Church year because it is when we remember Jesus’ death on the cross for our salvation. On Palm Sunday, we hear two Gospel readings. The first Gospel tells us how Jesus rode into Jerusalem and was greeted by the crowds. The crowds shouted praises to God because they thought Jesus was coming to save them.
In the second Gospel reading for this Sunday, which is also called Passion Sunday, we hear the details about several events: Jesus’ Last Supper, his prayer in the garden of Gethsemane, Judas’s betrayal, the arrest of Jesus, Peter’s denial of Jesus, and how Jesus was accused and sentenced to death.
Sacrament of Penance - Celebrating First Holy Communion
We believe that the passing on of our Christian faith, values and traditions is a true gift that our parents can share with their children. It was a joy to be present on Saturday evening with many family members at First Reconciliation - the Sacrament of Penance. Congratulations Katy Hull, Eva Flanagan, Eliana Piccini, Isabella Salmi, and Indiana Stahl. Thank you to the family members who witnessed their support and love during the preparation and celebration of the Sacrament.
St Joseph's Woodburn STAGE THREE DISCIPLESHIP RETREAT - INCITARE
