Week 3 Term 2 2024
Dear Families,
As we come to the end of Week 3 , there are some important areas that I need your help with.
- The 'Tell Them From Me' Survey (information is listed below). As mentioned in a previous newsletter, and at the Parent Information Night, we will undergo a School Review in Week 10 of Term 2. It's a time for us to take a snapshot of how we work across nine domains to ensure the best possible educational experience for your child/ children. To have an informed School Review, we need as much feedback from our community as possible. Please take the time to complete the survey, it is important that we hear from you. Later in the Term, we will invite parents to speak with the panel leading our School Review.
- Kindergarten Enrolment 2025. Our Kindergarten 2025 enrolment campaign begins now. We need your help to spread the word that enrolments are now open for our wonderful school and that our Kindergarten Information Night will be held on Wednesday 12 June 2024. As we get closer to 'going home' to Woodburn, we want to grow our school to share the amazing new spaces. Please spread the word!
Thank you for your ongoing support.
KINDERGARTEN 2025
As we move quickly through 2024, it is time to begin kindergarten enrolments for 2025.
Our Kindergarten Information Night will be held on Wednesday 12 June 2024. If you have children ready to begin school next year, or if you know anyone interested in enrolling in Kindergarten (or any other year) in 2025, the Information Evening will be held on Wednesday 12 June at 6 pm.
Please spread the word, we look forward to growing our beautiful school.
MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATIONS
TELL THEM FROM ME SURVEY
Over the coming weeks we will invite students, teachers and parents to provide feedback on their experience of our school using an online survey. The surveys are an important part of our whole school evaluation and planning process.
We invite you this week to complete the Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Partners in Learning survey. As we value the role of parents and carers within our school community we would greatly appreciate your feedback. The information you provide will be used to maintain our commitment to working together in partnership to further improve student learning and wellbeing at St Joseph’s
The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. You will be able to access the parent survey on your computer or mobile device by using the URL below

We are very interested to have your feedback, thank you for your support with this survey

SUNDAY GOSPEL REFLECTION -The Celebration of the Feast of PENTECOST
Gospel Reading: John 20: 19-23
This weekend we celebrate the feast of Pentecost, which is sometimes called the birthday of the Church. The Gospel for Pentecost reminds us that the Church begins with the command to forgive. Within our families, we learn how to forgive and how to accept forgiveness. The gift of the Holy Spirit enables us to do both.
Jesus gave the disciples the gift of the Holy Spirit to help them spread his message of love, peace and forgiveness. These same gifts will be confirmed upon our sacramental candidates at the celebration of their Confirmation on Monday evening. The seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit are: Wonder and Awe, Courage, Wisdom, Right judgment, Knowledge, reverence and understanding.
Celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation
Monday 20th May at St Joseph's Church Coraki 6 pm -
All welcome
We believe that the passing on of our Christian faith, values and traditions is a true gift that our parents can share with their children. Parents of students preparing for the Celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation are attending Confirmation preparation family meetings. The last meeting will be held at school on Saturday 18th May at 3:45 pm.
Please keep our students Abaigeal Ashton, Nancy Butler, Phoebe Jett, Jackson Marsden, Poppy Parkinson and Eli Walsh and their families in your prayers and may this time of preparation bring grace and peace to all.
St Joseph's SPIRIT OF JESUS AWARD
At St Joseph's we encourage our students to look for the goodness in others. Our school Vice Captains-Mission this year Aya Stahl and Cooper Bailey have been given the responsibility of helping to acknowledge students who demonstrate the attitudes and gospel values that show the Spirit of Jesus.
If we have the spirit of Jesus in our hearts, we are kind, compassionate, welcoming, cheerful, friendly, encouraging, giving, forgiving thankful, and respectful. This week the Spirit of Jesus Award was presented to Jordie Johns at the school assembly.
