Week 6 Term 2 - 2022
Dear Families
A wonderful week this week with the highlight being our Stage 2 students being Confirmed. This Sacrament of Confirmation has been deferred three times due to COVID and the floods. The children were so excited to know that the Sacrament was finally going ahead. It was a beautiful night, the children participated reverently with much anticipation. It was wonderful to see so many family members supporting each of the candidates.
We are grateful to Bishop Greg for confirming the children. In his homily, the Bishop discussed the three most important gifts to be received by the Holy Spirit during Confirmation that he and all parents wished for their children. The gift of Knowledge- to know the difference between right and wrong, the gift of Courage- to be able to follow through and do what is right, and finally the gift of Love -so that each of the children will always know that they are loved and be able to love others.
Thank you to Mrs Boyd, Mrs Campbell and Mr Moloney for organising the Liturgy and to Fr Max who continues to support us.
Congratulations to Lotte, Sophie, Meluca, Caleb, Sunni, Pip, Rita, Rose and Tom.

A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO MACKILLOP COLLEGE STUDENTS, STAFF AND FAMILIES
Today Mrs Cath Eichman, Principal of MacKillop Catholic College, Port Macquarie and 3 of their leadership students attended our school to present us with a very large donation to support the ongoing provision of lunch and recess for the children. It was an amazing gesture of kindness and support and we are extremely grateful to the students, staff and families of MacKillop for their generous donation. We also loved the fact that they took the time to drive all the way up from Port Macquarie to see us and spend some time with us.
Lorena, Caleb and Clancy, our School Captains and Vice Captain received the large cheque and thanked Mrs Eichman and the leaders for their generosity, "...we may not be the largest school or have the biggest number of students but we are the happiest because of what you have done for us. Thank you!

SUNDAY GOSPEL REFLECTION:
Year C - PENTECOST SUNDAY
Gospel Reading: Luke 24:46-53
Jesus is taken to heaven and the disciples remain in Jerusalem awaiting his sending of the Spirit.
The season of Easter concludes with today's celebration, the Feast of Pentecost. On Pentecost we celebrate the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles gathered in the upper room in Jerusalem; this event marks the beginning of the Church. In situations of conflict, we can be agents of peace and harmony among people due to the presence of the Holy Spirit.
